The trip begins with an exhilarating bus journey to Jiri (1,890 m.) from where the traditional Jiri - Namche Bazaar trek begins.  Passing through several beautiful villages, the trail turns due north and continues to the famed Namche Bazaar crossing Dudh Kosi (Milk River) several times. Before entering the Khumbu Valley, trekkers will enjoy temperate climate while walking through bush forests and pastures, rolling farmlands with maize, wheat, barley and apples. Rhododendron and Magnolia are abundant in riot of colour – the photographers' and flora lovers' delight.
 
Before reaching the final stretch to Everest Base Camp, the trail passes through many villages and places of honour and reverence for Buddhists. The panorama of snowy mountains in all their ever-lasting grandeur will astound the trekkers.

Involve walking 5 to 7 hours a day at an altitude of 5000 metres.
