River Information
Nepal has some of the mightiest
rivers and best white water rafting
in the world. The mountains are
spectacular, the water is warm and
fast flowing, and the commercial
rafting infrastructure is world
class. There are also plenty of
excellent rivers like Sun Kosi,
Tamur, Karnali, Kali Gandaki, Seti,
Marsyangdi, Trishuli & Bhote Kosi,
to choose from. For experienced
kayakers wanting a solo run
equipment may be hired in kathmandu.
Best rafting times are: Spring
(between late Feb and April), when
the snow is melting in the mountains
and after the summer, monsoon period
(between Oct and November). For
Rafting, you will need flip-flop or
sandals, bathing suits and
lightweight shorts.
